What We’ve Accomplished:
(Physical) Heart Institute in Kyiv received a cardiac e-book subscription
On February 10, 2023 a five year institutional subscription to the STS Cardio-thoracic Surgery e-book was given to the Heart Institute Інститут серця МОЗ України in Kyiv. The STS Cardio-thoracic Surgery E-book provides the most current, comprehensive and continuously updated information available in the specialty. Edited by more than 600 leading surgeons from around the world, it includes 300 interactive chapters in all the main cardio-thoracic surgery domains. The STS E-book includes a rich, multimedia educational experience with new hand drawn medical illustrations, photographs and surgical videos. We are grateful to Unbound Medicine for their cooperation in providing a five year subscription at an excellent price. This purchase was made possible through our generous donors and grant funding from the UMCOR - United Methodist Committee On Relief. We are grateful to support our medical heroes in Ukraine!
(Physical) Center of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery receives transplantation drug
We are happy to report the purchase and delivery of a package of Mabtera - Redditux on February 6, 2023. This is a drug used to prevent the rejection of heart transplantation. This pharmaceutical was delivered to the Children’s Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Центр дитячої кардіології і кардіохірургії in Kyiv thanks to our generous donors and grant funding from UMCOR - United Methodist Committee On Relief.
(Spiritual) Play centers at the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery and the Heart Institute in Kyiv received makeovers
On February 2, 2023 we are pleased to announce that the Children’s Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Центр дитячої кардіології і кардіохірургії and the Heart Institute in Kyiv received new toys for their play rooms. This was funded through our generous donors. All funds received between November 25-December 31, 2022 went to give children toys. Patients at both hospitals receive toys as gifts to lift their spirits as the recover. Now, we have updated pay areas so that the children of hospital employees and the pediatric patients have an indoor place to play.
