Who was Arlene Campbell?

Arlene Campbell

Arlene Campbell started a non-profit in 1989 called Russian Relief, which later expanded to be known as the Former Soviet Union Cultural Exchange. The organization sent shipping containers full of food, medical equipment, medicine, and supplies to the former Soviet states, as well as developed a student-teacher exchange program, all with help of a grant from the U.S. Department of State. This funding was eliminated and is no longer available.

Arlene was a visionary who was filled with faith and compassion. She was a widow who had no children. Therefore, her legacy of selfless humanitarian aid has inspired us to continue to seek to build capacity in the healthcare system of Ukraine.
