Makva: The Forest Song
MAVKA - THE FOREST SONG (in English) is a breathtaking and touching
Ukrainian computer-animated fantasy and adventure movie for the whole family. Mavka is a Guardian of the Forest, a character from Ukrainian mythology. Enchanting creatures accompany the young Mavka on her great quest to save the natural kingdom and her own heart. A wonderful parable about the power of love, which not only unites, but is the source of all life. The film premiered in Ukraine on March 2, 2023, after 7 years of work. Despite the war, the animation team adjusted their workflow and worked from bomb shelters, displaced locations, and anywhere they found themselves to finish this film.
